Samir Mammadov is a first-year Wharton MBA student from Azerbaijan with a deep appreciation for the moments that happen beyond the classroom. Growing up, he learned to value hospitality and the joy of gathering people together—a tradition he continues today in Philadelphia. For Samir, hosting poker nights has become one of his favorite rituals: evenings filled with whisky, cigars, and plenty of laughter shared among friends.
What he enjoys most isn’t just the game itself, but the connections it sparks—the banter across the table, the friendly competition, and the chance to slow down and enjoy life’s small luxuries together. With a welcoming spirit and an eye for detail, Samir brings a touch of sophistication to each event, balancing the structure of classic poker with the easygoing atmosphere of a great night in.
